Autumn Trails Veterinary Center is seeking full or part-time Technician to join our growing team!

At Autumn Trails Veterinary Center our mission is to enhance the human-animal bond by providing compassionate, state-of-the-art medical, surgical and dental care to our patients. Along with being central Virginia’s first urgent care veterinary center, our services and facilities are designed to assist in routine preventive care for young, healthy pets, early detection and treatment of disease as your pet ages, and medical and surgical care as necessary during their lifetime.

Schedule:
We are specifically looking for LVTs who can work up to 3 shifts per week, Monday through Friday, but weekend shifts can also be made available. Our typical shifts are 8am-8pm, but adjusted hours can be negotiated.

Requirements:
Our ideal candidate is a licensed veterinary technician with at least 1-2 years of experience in a small animal veterinary clinic. New licensed or license-eligible technicians welcome!

Responsibilities:

• Assist the veterinarian in exam rooms and use Avimark, our veterinary software, for documenting medical notes
• Communicate with and educate clients
• Provide compassionate patient care
• Our licensed vet techs have a very fulfilling position and are greatly valued. You will be allowed to utilize all of your learned and practiced skills. LVT's take the lead on all anesthetic procedures, dental cleanings, emergency triage and patient care. They also are working closely with the Veterinarians and Assistants to care for our hospitalized and emergency patients.

  Marshall, VA

The Middleburg Humane Foundation (MHF) operates a non-profit, 23-acre farm shelter located in Marshall, Virginia and is seeking a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician to coordinate and administer care for the shelter’s animals.

It is our goal to provide a haven for abused, neglected, and at-risk animals, both large and small until they can find their forever homes. The shelter can house ~40 cats and 30 dogs. Our barn and surrounding paddocks can accommodate horses and other livestock.

Each year approximately 1000 animals pass through our doors. MHF's fully equipped veterinary clinic is currently used by volunteer veterinarians to provide services for our resident animals as well as those from our Community Cat Program.

BetterPet Urgent Care is looking for a part-time, 2-3 day per week LVT! Located in Mechanicsville, BetterPet is the only independent, locally owned urgent care facility in the Richmond area. Responsibilities:

• Triaging patients and managing the caseload of incoming patients; provide active guidance and leadership to the support team.
• Carrying out treatment plans by obtaining diagnostics, administering medications, performing venipuncture, IVC placement, wound and trauma care, applying bandages/splints, fluid therapy, oxygen therapy, emergency aid, critical care, and CPR.  
• Strong knowledge of sedation and anesthesia drug protocols; operation of anesthesia machines, anesthetic induction, intubation, and vitals monitoring.
• Communicating with clients by explaining medical procedures, reviewing financial estimates and discharge instructions, responding to client inquiries.
